Elan built the Fusion A 4.0 ski to let you easily carve turns, even if you only ski a few times a year. Spend your time on the slopes doing less work and having more fun. The Fusion A 4.0 is Elan's softest flexing adult ski in their Fusion line. It's the easiest ski to turn and the best way to learn to ski. Don't assume you'll outgrow the Fusion 4.0 in a year; its solid edge hold makes it fun to ski at higher speeds and on more advanced terrain too. The secret to making an easy turning ski that still maintains solid edge hold is Elan's PST construction. PST allows Elan to build a ski that has a cap construction throughout the ski but still keeps the edge grip provided by a vertical sidewall underfoot. The Fusion A 4.0 comes with Elan's EL 11 binding, with a DIN range of 3 to 10. The binding is attached to the ski by a floating metal chassis in the toe and heel. This allows the ski to follow its natural flex, so you'll have a more consistent carve. It also means the binding won't go through undue stress when carving, so you're less likely to prerelease.
