Based on the highly successful WhisperLite, the SimmerLite offers a similar profile with a smooth-burning ported burner and a durable new fuel pump. Unlike canister stoves, MSR liquid fuel stoves allow you to customize the amount of fuel you want to pack on your trip so you never have to haul more than you need. For comparison purposes, the MSR SimmerLite at sea level and at room temperature consumed a 20-ounce bottle of MSR White Gas for over 122 minutes and boiled a liter of 70-degree water in 3.75 minutes, or roughly 1.5 liters of water boiled for every ounce of fuel.
