This gaiter was designed with the serious hiker and backpacker in mind. The urethane coated nylon instep strap of the Exos Gaiters can be replaced on the fly if it needs to be. But that need is likely not to arise due to the ruggedness of this gaiter. The stretch Schoeller WB-Formula fabric will hold up through almost anything and the stretch Cordura lining is just as resilient.
