Designed to fit single ropes between 8 and 13mm in diameter, the Ascension features a lightweight aluminum body and easy-grip handle and rope-clamp. The Petzl Ascension's ergonomic handle keeps the ascender aligned with the direction of the pull for maximum efficiency, and a self-cleaning slot removes mud, grime, and ice from the rope as you move upward. Left and right-hand versions are color coded for easy differentiating.
