The 17' Kodiak, with a trihedral hull & convex waterlines similar to racing kayaks, fits the bill with some interesting improvements. The fish-form puts the wide point at the knees instead of the hips for excellent stability in rolling seas and most wind conditions. The Kodiak's unusual double-chine arrangement allows good speed and remarkable controllability for an expedition kayak. Enjoy a generous 9550 cubic inches of stowage space. Other features include an adjustable seat, thigh brace and back brace with cover for comfortable, extended expeditions. Hatches, bow & stern combine neoprene, hard plastic and quick-release webbing straps for dry, easy use.
